Links The following people or organisations have been helpful to me and you may want to visit their websites.
- Augustus Leopold Egg, at whose Eastbourne residence ('Pilgrims' in Borough Lane) his friend Charles Dickens spent holidays, was an eminent Victorian artist. I am indebted to Sanders of Oxford for granting permission to use his image on my website. Sanders of Oxford are the UK's largest seller of fine prints, maps, engravings, 20th century etchings and views of Oxford, the famous University city. Their website is worth a visit.
- Based in Lewes, E. Sussex, the Fine Art Company does much to support and encourage artists via its individual artist webpages. It has a unique range of fine art prints, canvases, photographs and limited edition and original art. Its website is well worth exploring.
- Sidney Chambers (www.sidneychambers.com) has made excellent giclée (archive quality) prints from my original paintings. He is an Associate of the Guild of Aviation Artists who also explores a wide range of motifs in a strikingly original way.
- The superb Van Gogh Gallery website, endorsed by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, is a definitive and inspiring resource. I greatly appreciate the help of its author, David Brooks, whose review of my book, Van Gogh: A Beginner's Guide, appears on his website. He also kindly provided a link to my book on Amazon.
- Artist and graphic designer Julian Sutherland-Beatson runs extremely helpful workshops on various aspects of making a living as an artist. His website is at http://sutherlandbeatson.com/
- Friends of the Towner run a first-rate programme of lectures and concerts. The aim of the Friends is to support the Towner gallery (see my Eastbourne Art page) and to encourage and foster the appreciation of the arts generally in Eastbourne. www.friendsofthetowner.org.uk
- Alan M. Keys is a Digital Imaging specialist whose company offers a wide range of impressive photographic restoration services. See his website which has examples of different kinds of photographic restoration, details of DVD compilations and many testimonials to his work.
